<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system suppressing power consumption of a storage device, and to provide a management information acquisition method for power saving in the storage system. <P>SOLUTION: In this storage system, a monitoring part of a host computer decides whether a power supply state of a storage area is an on state or not based on a storage area information table storing second information related to the storage area together with first information showing the power supply state that the power supply state of the storage area is the on state or not when acquiring information related to the storage area for management of the storage area, and acquires the second information from the storage area information table when the power supply state of the storage area is not the on state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
