<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a vehicle capable of suitably adjusting a form of a recessed portion, and reducing an injury value by suitably receiving an occupant including a head portion according to, for example, a wearing/non-wearing state of a seat belt or a seat slide position. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device for the vehicle comprises an airbag body 1 wherein a front surface becomes an occupant restraining surface X, a recessed portion Y formed on the airbag main body so as to be positioned at a lateral direction center portion of the occupant restraining surface, route portions 10 formed on right and left side surfaces of the airbag body so as to be positioned at a slanting rear side of the recessed portion, and a rear end portion 20 extended to the rear side of the airbag body through front end portions 17 joined around the recessed portion and the route portions 10 to be supported. The airbag device for the vehicle is provided with a tension transmitting member 14 towing the recessed portion by tension generated between the front end portion and the rear end portion by deploying/expanding action of the airbag body, and a recessed portion form adjusting means 13 provided on a vehicle body side, and adjusting depression amount of the recessed portion by adjusting a distance between the rear end portion and the front end portion while supporting the rear end portion of the tension transmitting member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
