<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector in which solder rising is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The connector has a contact 3 and a housing 4 to hold this. The contact has a contact part 12 having a contact portion 11 to be connected to a mating connector, a coupling part 13 extended from the contact part, and a soldering terminal part 14 which is extended from the coupling part and connected by soldering to a substrate 2. The soldering terminal part has a soldering portion 15 and a first low wetting area portion 16 installed near the soldering portion. The coupling part has a second low wetting area portion 17.
