PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system allowing control of a target device even if a controller fails when controlling the device via a plurality of networks. SOLUTION: This information processing system includes: a communication conversion device connected to first and second networks each having a different communication standard, transferring a processing start request signal to a device connected to the first network when receiving the signal, converting a processing start permission signal into the communication standard of the second network and transmitting it to the control target device when receiving the signal; an information processing terminal connected to the first network, transmitting the processing start request signal to the communication conversion device when a processing condition is input, displaying the processing condition when receiving the processing start request signal from the communication conversion device, and transmitting the processing start permission signal to the communication conversion device by input of an instruction of a processing start; and the controller connected to the first network, displaying the processing condition when receiving the processing start request signal, and transmitting the processing start permission signal to the communication conversion device by input of the instruction of the processing start.
