PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, causing less vibration or warpage of a cleaning blade, image deletion, toner fusion, and point-like image defects. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor including an organic photosensitive layer comprises at least an application step of applying a coating liquid containing an organic photoconductive material on a cylindrical support, a heat drying step of drying the coated liquid applied on the support by heating to obtain a photoreceptor, and a roughening step of roughening a surface of the photoreceptor with an abrasive material.
