PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to a part of preventing a gasket, positioned at on the longelongated side of a cap plate, from being burned, and to reduce inside heat generatedion internally by initially short-circuiting a can and an electrode terminal. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly, a can accepting which accepts the electrode assembly, and a cap assembly covering which covers the can. The cap assembly(300) comprises: a cap plate(310) including a terminal hole and a terminal groove(313); a gasket which is connected with the cap plate and includes center hole; and an electrode terminal including a terminal pillar(321) inserted into the center hole and a terminal plate(323) positioned on the upper part of the gasket. |
