A storage unit (420) stores a template for correlating a first example sentence having a variable portion which can be replaced by a first candidate word of a first language, with a second example sentence having a second variable portion which can be replaced by a second candidate word describing the corresponding first candidate word in a second language.  A first keyword is selected from a plurality of keywords.  A first example sentence is extracted as a sentence having a variable portion in which the first keyword can be replaced as the first candidate word.  The first example sentence having the first keyword inserted into the variable portion is displayed.  When the first example sentence is selected, first information for identifying the template of the first example sentence is stored (S5812).  The first example sentence of the template identified by the first information is selectively displayed (S5821 to 3).  The second example sentence corresponding to the selected first example sentence is displayed (S5832).
