PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing precipitating sand and mud of a water intake tub is provided to clean the bottom of the water tub in front of a dust screen by preventing precipitates from piling up in front of the dust screen. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing precipitating sand and mud of a water intake tub comprises a dustproof screen(102), a nozzle(103), a suction hood(104), a vacuum pump(105), and a storage tank(106). The suction hood is positioned between the dustproof screen and the nozzle. High pressure water sprayed from the dustproof screen to the nozzle generates a whirlpool, which floats precipitate. The floated precipitate is suctioned to the storage tank by the suction pressure of the vacuum pump, and separated to water and precipitate by a precipitate separator. |
