PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink for ink-jet recording, a preparation method thereof, an ink set, a recording head, a recording apparatus, and a recording method in which each ink of the ink set can be uniformly discharged, and reduction of printing quality of an image can be effectively prevented.SOLUTION: Ethyleneoxide addition molar numbers of dye and acetylene glycol-based surfactant, which are used in two types of ink containing a dye, an acetylene glycol-based surfactant, and water, are different from each other, a difference of surface tension regarding evaluation liquid obtained by adding 1 mass% of a standard acetylene glycol-based surfactant having ethyleneoxide addition molar number 10 to a 5-mass% aqueous solution of each dye is 10(mN/m) or more, viscosity and surface tension of each ink are within 1.5 mPa s or more and 5.0 mPa s or less, and 25 mN/m or more and 45 mN/m or less, respectively, and a difference of viscosity and surface tension between the two types of ink is 0.3 mPa s or less and 3.5 mN/m or less, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
