<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device emitting illumination light having uniform light distribution characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A first excitation light source 162 and a second excitation light source 164 discharge a first excitation light and a second excitation light respectively controlled by a control device 170. The first excitation light and the second excitation light enter a wavelength conversion unit 110 through an optical coupler 150. A first wavelength conversion member 112 is made of a transparent phosphor and a part of the first excitation light is wavelength-converted and discharges a first fluorescent light isotropically, and the first excitation light which is not wavelength-converted and the second excitation light are transmitted. The second wavelength conversion member 114 wavelength-converts a part of the second excitation light and discharges a second fluorescent light isotropically. Furthermore, the second wavelength conversion member 114 diffuses the first excitation light which is not wavelength-converted and the second excitation light. As a result, the first excitation light, the second excitation light, and the first and the second fluorescent lights are discharged from the wavelength conversion unit 110 with a united and wide-ranged angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
