Method and system of automatic enhancement of the quality of digital images

The method involves detecting an end of a histogram (2) using a detection unit (12) of an image processing system (1), where the detection unit determines a detected value (20) at non discriminated pixel. The detected value is compared with a fixed threshold of a coded value (4) and histogram is modified using a histogram equalization algorithm based on the comparison. The modified histogram is utilized for adjusting the coded value. An independent claim is also included for an image processing system for improving quality of digital image.
