PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide driving electrolyte of an electrolytic capacitor in which leakage current can be reduced at the time of high temperature no-load of the electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: In the driving electrolyte of an electrolytic capacitor, an organic carboxylic acid such as azelaic acid, sebacic acid, benzoic acid, 1,6-decane dicarboxylic acid, 5,6-decane dicarboxylic acid, and 7-vinyl hexadecene-1,16-dicarboxylc acid or one kind or more of its salt, boric acid or its ammonium salt, and 0.1-1.0 wt% of rosinol shown by chemical formula 1 are added to mixture solvent of ethylene glycol and water.
