METHOD FOR CONTROLLING EXHAUST EMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling exhaust emission efficiently performing catalyst reaction in a metal carrier and improving catalyst performance.

SOLUTION: Exhaust emission is converted by making exhaust gas flow to keep flow velocity distribution of UI value 0.8-0.95 into the metal carrier 1 making exhaust gas pass through a cell part 6 formed out of a corrugated plate 4 and a flat plate 5 at least some of which are composed of metal thin plates having a plurality of slits 4a, 5a formed thereon with a predetermined pitch and which are piles and are wound in multiple layers to form a cylindrical shape.
