<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of suppressesing the so-called crosstalk of images and easily obtaining suitable observation conditions of a stereoscopic image. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting unit 43 is provided with a polarizing filter holding frame 71 to mount and hold a polarizing filter 70; the polarizing filter holding frame 71 is provided with a polarizing aperture 86 which is closed by a mounted polarizing filter 70 and polarizing filter supporting bars 90 mounted on the polarizing aperture 86 crossing the polarizing aperture 86 in the transverse direction; the boundaries between the first polarizing filter 81 and the second polarizing filter 82 are arranged to overlap on the polarizing filter supporting bars 90, and the polarizing filter 70 is mounted on the polarizing filter holding frame 71. Thus, the light emitted from light emitting elements 42 is divided into the light incident to the first polarizing filter 81 and the light made incident on the second polarizing filter 82 by the polarizing filter supporting bars 90. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
