<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eye shielding device for examining a dominant eye of a subject easily without a special device for examining the dominant eye. <P>SOLUTION: This eye shielding device comprises a shielding section 10 for shielding a visual line and a grip section 12 fixed to the shielding section 10. Additionally, a through-hole 14 is formed in the shielding section 10 for passing the visual line through, and a lid 16 is attached to the shielding section 10 for covering the through-hole 14 openably and closably. The through-hole 14 is covered with the lid 16, and then it can be used as a usual eye shielding device.
