<p>A cooling device for a vehicle has a main flow path for circulating cooling water between the inside of an engine and a radiator (13), a heater flow path for circulating the cooling water between the inside of the engine and a heater core (15), and a thermostat (18) activated in response to the temperature of the cooling water and selectively permitting and interrupting the circulation of the cooling water in the main flow path. The heater flow path is adapted to be used as a heater/bypass flow path functioning as a bypass flow path for circulating the cooling water during engine warm up operation without causing the cooling water to flow through the radiator (13). The construction eliminates the need of installation of a special bypass flow path and simplifies the structure of the flow paths.</p> |
