The device has a locomotive roof (3) of a cabriolet vehicle (1) moved between open and closed positions with a control unit (7). A switching device (8) is provided with a voltage source and/or a current source for operating an actuator (11) and another actuator. The control unit controls the actuators for moving the locomotive roof, such that the movement of the roof is achievable at two speeds. The switching device includes switching units designed as relays, where speeds are adjustable by the switching device, which switch the actuators together.
