<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processing device with a foreign matter removal mechanism capable of reliably removing foreign matter mixed together with a coin. <P>SOLUTION: The coin processing device 1 includes a coin separator 2 which is provided upstream of a conveyance passage for conveying the coin 5, and a coin discriminator 3 which is provided downstream of the conveyance passage. The device includes the foreign matter removal mechanism 4 consisting of: a dropping space 18 which is provided between the downstream end of the coin separator 2 and the upstream end of the coin discriminator 3 and in which the coin 5 can be delivered and received and foreign matter is dropped; a delivery roller 15 which is provided upstream of the dropping space 18 for delivering the coin 5; a receiving roller 21 which is provided downstream of the dropping space 18 for receiving the coin 5; and an excluding plate 17 is provided to the upper side of the dropping space 18 on the coin separator 2 side crossing the extension line of the conveyance passage so as to be pressed downwardly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
