PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of accurately estimating engine torque by a few control maps, and accurately realizing an engine control amount for achieving target torque with a simple logic constitution. SOLUTION: A relation of filling efficiency, an ignition timing and output torque is approximated by a quadratic function. Then, an actual output torque is calculated from the filling efficiency and an ignition timing, and a target intake air amount is calculated from the target output torque based on a ratio of the filling efficiency and the actual output torque. Also, in an instant torque-reduction request, a target ignition timing is calculated by an inverse operation of the above relational expression from a target torque-reduction request and the filling efficiency.
