<p>A golf hole insert comprising a body shaped to fit in a golf hole, an aperture 3 in the body to receive a flag, a device 10 to deliver a recorded sound and a switch 9 to operate the sound device 10 which is activated by a ball falling into the insert. The insert may be annular, have a conical base and a conical recess at its top end. The body may have a cover plate used to display advertising material 10. The switch may have two telescoping parts which are biased apart by springs 7a-c and pushed together to activate the sound when a ball falls onto an upper part. The device may have means to program in different sounds and may have a battery and a loudspeaker.</p> |
