摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery allowing high capacity, high output and long life of the lithium secondary battery; and a lithium secondary battery using this positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode contains a compound capable of occlusion/emission of lithium as an active substance and contains a conductive agent and a binding agent. The positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery satisfies the following formula (1) when the specific surface area of the active substance is defined as A (m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g), the percentage content of the active substance in the electrode is defined as B wt.%, the specific surface area of the conductive material is defined as C (m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g), the percentage content of the conductive material in the electrode is defined as D wt.%, and the active substance exposure rate of a bending section in the positive electrode is defined as E (%): E<50&times;(A&times;B+0.05&times;C&times;D)/(A&times;B+0.1&times;C&times;D)(1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
