An electrical asynchronous machine (10) comprises a stator (12) with at least one winding overhang (22) at an axial end of the stator (12), a housing (16) in which the stator (12) is secured, and a rotor (14) which is rotatably mounted in the housing (16) about an axis (A) and in which magnetic fields can be induced by means of the stator (12), the rotor (14) having a short-circuit ring (30) at an axial end. A wedge-shaped gap (26) extends about the axis (A) of the rotor (14) between the winding overhang (22) and the short-circuit ring (24) so that a capacitive coupling between the winding overhang (22) and the short-circuit ring (24) is reduced. |
