<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of mechanically combining a mounting member and a heat dissipation member while reducing manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device includes a light source section 1 formed by mounting a plurality of LED chips 11 on the surface of a mounting board 10 formed in an elongated plate shape, an elongated heat dissipation member 2 for mounting the light source section 1 and making at least a portion of it in contact with a back face of the mounting board 10, and an elongated mounting member 4 mounted on the heat dissipation member 2 and mounting the light source section 1 and the heat dissipation member 2 on a fixture body. The heat dissipation member 2 has a primary piece 20 for mounting the mounting member 4, and a plurality of mounting pieces 23 projected to the mounting member 4.
