PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tungsten carbide-based catalyst, an electrode and a battery showing excellent activity.SOLUTION: Provided is a tungsten carbide-based catalyst, in which, in a powder X-ray diffractometry, the ratio of the strength of the first peak in which diffraction angle 2θ lies in the range of 38.2 to below 40.0° to the strength of the peak derived from tungsten in which diffraction angle 2θ lies in the range of 40.0 to 42.0° is 6.4 or higher, the ratio of the strength of the second peak in which diffraction angle 2θ lies in the range of 50.4 to 53.4° to the strength of the peak derived from tungsten is 1.0 or higher, or the ratio of the strength of the third peak in which the diffraction angle 2θ lies in the range of 68.0 to 71.0° to the strength of the peak derived from tungsten is 1.2 or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
