PURPOSE: A portable input device including a mouse function is provided to selectively apply an OFM(Optical Finger Mouse) operation method or an optical mouse operation method according to a use environment. CONSTITUTION: A body unit(10) includes a plurality of button units for operating a portable input device located on an upper surface. A motion recognition unit is located inside the body unit. The motion recognition unit emits light to a target corresponding to the exterior of the body unit. The motion recognition unit calculates the movement direction and distance of the body unit or the movement direction of a target. The motion recognition unit moves a cursor displayed on a screen according to the calculated movement direction and distance.
