PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired high image quality at the time of bidirectional recording in halftone recording system by suppressing nonuniformity of color. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises an LUT memory means 201 storing at least two LUTs, means 202 for selecting one LUT among LUTs stored in the memory means 201, means 203 for separating an input image data into a high gray level image data and a low gray level image data based on a selected LUT, and means 206 for binarizing a gray image data. |
