PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock detecting device of an inexpensive fan motor which detects locking of the fan motor using a temperature fuse containing a resistor disposed in a current-carrying circuit of the fan motor. SOLUTION: When an air-conditioning start switch 9 is set to L, M2, the electric potential of the plus side of temperature fuses 16, 18 is observed with a temperature controller 34. In this state, when the observed electric potential raises to an approximate power voltage +B, the air-conditioning controller 34 judges that any of fan motors 1 through 8 has locked and indicates an abnormality and stops operation. In this way, locking is detected using temperature fuses 16 through 19 housed in the current-carrying control circuit and the air- conditioning controller 34, thereby enabling the cost of the lock detecting device to be kept down.
