PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform easy packing as well as achieve good workability. SOLUTION: A ladder device stored in a ceiling is switchable between storage attitude in which it is folded and stored in the ceiling and usage attitude in which it is elongated and bridged side by side in the ceiling via a folding ink mechanism 4 and a tensile spring 7. In the storage attitude of the ladder device, the upper end of the folding link mechanism 4 is set lower than the upper edge of a ladder 1c on an upper layer.
