JOINING STRUCTURE OF COMPONENT PARTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid rubbing, prevent a sealing material from exfoliation or the like, and enhance the reliability of a seal part by performing the joining obliquely while a guide groove is guided by a projection. SOLUTION: A second component part (cam bracket 3) having on the outside two joining surfaces a' and b' intersecting approximately perpendicularly to each other is put in tight attachment to first component parts (a cylinder head 2 and front cover 4) having on the inside two joining surfaces (a) and (b) intersecting approximately perpendicularly to each other and these joining surfaces are sealed by a sealing material. A projection 8 for locating is formed on one joining surface (a) of the first component parts 2 and 4 while a recess 9 mating with the projection 8 is formed on the second component part 3. A guide groove 10 aslant by 45 degrees spreading toward the opening of the recess 9 is provided in a position on the inner side face of the recess 9 and inside the intersection of the joining surfaces a' and b'.
