<p>A muscle exercise device comprising a hand grip 2 support means 3,4 and resistance means, in which the hand grip 2 has a longitudinal axis (A-A, Figure 5) and is adapted to rotate on a rotation axis B-B substantially half way along the longitudinal axis (A-A) and normal to it, in which the support means 3,4 rotatably carries the hand grip 2, and in which the resistance means acts against rotation of the hand grip 2 on the rotation axis B-B in at least one direction. Two hand grips 2 may be provided, one for each hand. The resistance means may comprise weights (5, Figure 2) mounted on a vertical rack. Winch drums 23 may be provided with lifting bands extending from each drum to the weights, such that rotation of hand grips causes rotation of the winch drums to wind the lifting bands thereon and thereby lift the weights (5). The exercise device works on the bicep muscle.</p> |
