PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a monitoring device to reliably acquire information on an event in a device to be monitored concerning a monitoring system employing a connectionless communication system. SOLUTION: The device to be monitored 10 includes a first transmitting part 17 for transmitting first information as event information concerning the event in the device to be monitored 10 to the monitoring device 20 by the connectionless communication system; and a second transmitting part 18 for transmitting second information as the event information to the monitoring device 20 by a communication system being different from the connectionless communication system. The monitoring device 20 includes a first receiving part 21 for receiving the first information transmitted by the first transmitting part 17; and a second receiving part 22 for receiving the second information transmitted by the second transmitting part 18.
