PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film with reduced emission of outgas, free from the emission of a corrosive gas in combustion, and to provide a method for simply producing the porous film. SOLUTION: The porous film is composed of the resin composition comprising a hydrogenated norbornene-based ring-opened polymer with 110-145°C of melting point, which is obtained by ring-opening polymerization of 2-norbornene or a monomer mixture of the 2-norbornene and a norbornene based monomer having a substituent, and hydrogenating at least 80% of the carbon-carbon double bond of the polymer, and the ratio of the repeating unit (A) originating from 2-norbornene in the total repeating unit is 90-100 wt.% and the ratio of the repeating unit (B) of the norbornene based substituted monomer unit is 0-10 wt.%, and the invention also relates to the method for producing the porous film.
