PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for re-searching a route while appropriately determining a situation. SOLUTION: One, two or more routes are set as recommended routes (step S10). Whether or not an own vehicle has deviated from any of the routes is determined (step S40). When the vehicle is determined to have deviated therefrom, a connection route connecting the present position of the own vehicle to the route is searched for (step S50). Based on the connection route searched for, it is determined whether or not the route is re-searched for (step S60).
