PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus equipped with a maintenance unit which has a high cleaning performance and a simple structure, is small-sized and requires low costs and short maintenance time. SOLUTION: A sealing space is formed by bringing a suction part into contact with an inkjet head, and after ink is sucked, the suction part is separated from the inkjet head, and by sucking air near the inkjet head, the ink stuck on the nozzle face is removed by sucking.
