<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate smooth action of a valve element even in the case that machining precision of a first intake passage end part and a sliding surface of the valve element is rough, in an intake controller of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The engine intake controller includes a first intake passage 3 having openings for an upstream end portion 3a and a downstream end portion 4a in a surge chamber 2, a second intake passage 4 having an opening for an upstream end portion 4a in the surge chamber 2 so as to confront with the downstream end portion 3b of the first intake passage with an interval and a sleeve-type valve body 8 slidably fitted to the downstream end portion 3b of the first intake passage and moving between a first position A apart from the upstream end portion 4a of the second intake passage and a second position B in contact with the upstream end portion 4a. A linear motion guide bearing device 13 is provided between an intake manifold M and the valve body 8, a rail 15 of the linear motion guide bearing device 13 extending in a direction of movement of the valve body 8 is secured to a support post 14 fixed on the intake manifold M and a slider 16 movably set astride the rail 15 is secured to the valve body 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
