<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake control device for an engine wherein the intake air smoothly flows through an intake pipe passage, intake resistance is reduced, and low speed output performance of the engine can be improved even when a long intake pipe passage is obtained by first and second intake passages by closing a control valve. <P>SOLUTION: An intake manifold M is constituted of a surge chamber 2, the first intake passage 3 opening an upstream end part 3a and a downstream end part 3b to the surge chamber 2, and the second intake passage 4 having an upstream end part 4a confronting the downstream end part 3b while having a gap therebetween. The control valve 7 is constituted of a sleeve type valve element 8 moving between a close position A fitted to the first intake passage 3 slidably along an axial direction and abutted to the upstream end part 4a of the second intake passage 4 and an open position B separated from the upstream end part 4a, a lever shaft 18 rotatably supported by the intake manifold M, and an operation lever 19 operating the valve element 8 to the close position A and the open position B by receiving the rotation. A balance weight 20 generating the moment balancing with the load moment imparted to the lever shaft 18 by the valve element 8 is connected to the lever shaft 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
