<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device capable of acquiring image data which should be quickly projected, and projecting the data at a high speed via a communications network. <P>SOLUTION: The image projection device 1 having a projection part which projects an image in accordance with the image data receives an electronic mail via the communications network. Then, the image projection device 1 analyses the content of the received electronic mail and determines whether the electronic mail satisfies prescribed conditions. When it is judged that the received electronic mail satisfies the prescribed conditions, the image projection device permits interruption of projecting an image, in accordance with the electronic mail in place of the image during projection, while projecting the image on the projection part.
