PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting apparatus capable of continuously casting products each having no underfill and mold cavity. SOLUTION: Seal pins 18 are moved up and a vertical portion 13a is connected to a horizontal portion 13b of the air flow path 13, and air is supplied to the upper space of a molten metal storage section 1 in a state where a molten metal reservoir portion 12 is exposed to the ambient air, and the inside of a cavity 10 is filled with aluminum molten metal. At this time, the most part of a gas generated in a sand core 8 is discharged through a flow path 11, the molten metal reservoir portion 12 and the air flow path 13. When the gas is exhausted from the cavity 10, the molten metal enters the molten metal reservoir 12 through the flow path 11. At this time, the sensor 14 senses the inflow of the molten metal. Upon reception of the signal, a hydraulic cylinder 21 is driven to lower the seal pins 18 and the vertical portion 13a of the air flow path 13 is sealed.
