PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing the production of amorpha-4,11-diene, and to provide a method for increasing the production of natural rubber.SOLUTION: The invention relates to an amorpha-4,11-diene production increasing method that comprises attaching an enzyme inhibitor to the Arabidopsis thaliana in which a gene encoding an amorpha diene-synthesis enzyme is induced; wherein the enzyme inhibitor inhibits at least one enzyme except an amorpha diene-synthesis enzyme among enzymes that catalyze an enzyme reaction in which farnesyl diphosphoric acid is used as a substrate. The invention also relates to a natural rubber production increasing method that comprises attaching an enzyme inhibitor to a rubber production plant; wherein the enzyme inhibitor inhibits at least one enzyme except the enzyme involved in the synthesis of natural rubber among enzymes that catalyze an enzyme reaction in which farnesyl diphosphoric acid is used as a substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
