The invention relates to a structural joint for joining the ends of two boards to one another, such that forces are correctly transmitted therebetween, by means of an arrangement whereby the ends of the boards are stepped so as to increase the contact surface between the two boards, allowing the boards to be coupled to one another and maintained aligned and coplanar in relation to one another. Moreover, at least one of the steps on each board is toothed in order to further increase the contact surface therebetween.
