The present invention relates to a structure and a method for mounting a sub-structure of a drillship which can mount the sub-structure to connect a drill floor to an upper part of a hull without interfering with a building structure by one work. The structure of the present invention includes: the hull wherein a moon pool is installed at a center; a left side building structure which is installed at an upper part of a portside of the hull and has an inner plane formed in a vertical shape; a right side building structure which is installed at an upper part of a starboard of the hull and has an inner plane formed in a vertical shape; and the sub-structure which connects the drill floor to the upper part of the hull, and has an outer plane formed in a vertical shape. Also, the method of the present invention includes the steps of: mounting the left side and the right side building structure at the upper part of the portside and the starboard of the hull wherein the moon pool is installed; and mounting the sub-structure connected to a lower part of the drill floor so as to install the drill floor at the upper part of the hull under the state that the left side and the right side building structure are mounted. |
