PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker that can improve energy saving performance by reducing a preheating time of a first heating part.SOLUTION: A pot 2 includes an opening 2a at one side, and a bottom face 2b at the other side. A lid body 3 is attached to a rice cooker body 1 in a freely openable/closable manner. An inner lid 5 is attached to the lid body 3. The inner lid 5 covers the opening 2a when the lid body 3 is in a closed state with respect to the rice cooker body 1. A water tank 6 is attached to the rice cooker body 1 or to the lid body 3. A steam passage 16 is attached to the lid body 3. The steam passage 16 includes a discharge port 16a, one end of which is connected to the water tank 6, and the other end of which is open toward the opening 2a. The water accumulated in the water tank 6 changes its state by being heated, and becomes steam. The steam passage 16 discharges steam whose state has changed from the discharge port 16a toward the opening 2a. A steam passage heating part 17 which is a first heating part heats the steam passage 16.
