<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle cap member for a railroad vehicle, degradation in the sealability of which can be suppressed when the negative pressure is generated in an internal space of a cap. <P>SOLUTION: The axle cap member 4 for a railroad vehicle is attached to a cylindrical member 2 provided on a shaft end of an axle 1 so as to cover the opening of the cylindrical member, is formed in a bottomed cylindrical shape, and provided with an inner circumferential fitting part 41 to be fitted in an outer circumferential fitting part 21 formed on the outer circumference of the end of the cylindrical member 2, and is made of a synthetic resin. The axle cap member has a projecting part 42 which is projected from a bottom surface 44 of the axle cap member 4 in the direction of an end face 15 of the axle 1 opposite to the bottom surface 44, and which forms a predetermined spacing S between the end face 15 and itself. The axle cap member 4 is elastically deformed when the negative pressure is generated in a cap inner space 5 between the end face 15 and the axle cap member 4, and the projecting part 42 is abutted on the end face 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
