FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FUEL CELL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in fuel cell performance by suppressing deterioration in catalyst for an electrochemical reaction during temporary stopping of power generation in a fuel cell.

SOLUTION: In a fuel cell system 1, hydrogen gas and air are supplied to a fuel cell 10 and hydrogen gas is electrochemically reacted with air to generate power. The fuel cell system 1 includes a control device 13 by which hydrogen gas supply is started earlier than air supply when hydrogen gas and air are supplied to the fuel cell 10 in order to maintain cell voltage during temporary stopping of power generation in the fuel cell 10.
