PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sound penetration to prevent deterioration of a mechanical nature of a welded metal by performing welding while maintaining a slag bath depth to a predetermined depth in electroslag welding using a slide type patch.SOLUTION: An electroslag welding device 100 is provided with: a welding torch 4 having a contact chip 5 for supplying power to a welding wire 6; a slide type copper patch 2; a traveling carriage 16 loading the welding torch 4 and the sliding type copper patch 2; a molten slag bath detector 13; a flux feeder 14; a flux feed controller 15; and a traveling carriage controller 17. The flux feed controller 15 controls feed of a flux so that a length Ld of the welding wire 6 from a tip of the contact chip 5 to a molten slag bath 7 becomes a predetermined length. The traveling carriage controller 17 controls a traveling speed of the traveling carriage 16 so that a welding current 8 has a predetermined relation to a reference current value. Then, welding is performed while maintaining a slag bath depth Ls to a predetermined depth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
