<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal printer good in printing efficiency and capable of shortening a printing time. SOLUTION: The feed speed of a two-color developing thermal printing medium is made variable corresponding to the developed color of the two-color developing thermal printing medium. For example, when a first color developed when first printing energy smaller in energy quantity as compared with second printing energy developing a second color is applied (S7; N), the two-color developing thermal printing medium can be fed at a speed higher than the feed speed at a time of the printing of the second color (S9) and, therefore, printing efficiency is improved and a printing time can be shortened.</p> |
