Drugs, foods, drinks, food additives, animal feeds and feed additives containing as the active ingredients an N-acylated derivative of hydroxyproline or its salt and an aminosugar or its salt and/or glycosaminoglycan or its salt; utilization of an N-acylated derivative of hydroxyproline or its salt in producing preventives or remedies for arthritis; and a method of preventing or treating arthritis characterized by administering an N-acylated derivative of hydroxyproline or its salt and an aminosugar or its salt and/or glycosaminoglycan or its salt.
