PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig saw capable of surely fixing a blade to a clamping unit against a twist of the blade around its axis. SOLUTION: The jig saw comprises the clamping unit 26 having a rod 27 including a slit 27a formed axially, a sleeve 33 rotating from an unlocking position to an initial position around the rod 27, an energizing member 44 for energizing the sleeve 33 toward the initial positional, a locking member 36 for locking the sleeve 33 to the unlocking position, and a pin 28 for pressing the side face of the blade 22 mounted at the slit 27a. When the sleeve 33 is positioned at the unlocking position, the member 36 locks the sleeve 33 to the rod 27. When the blade 22 is inserted into the slit 27a, locking of the sleeve 33 to the rod 27 is released. The sleeve 33 has a cam part 33a formed to guide the pin 28. The cam part 33a is formed so that the sleeve 33 does not press the blade 22 by the pin 28 at the unlocking position and the side face of the blade 22 is pressed by the pin 28 when the sleeve 33 is rotated toward the initial position.
