RUBBER/CORD COMPOSITE AND HOSE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber/cord composite and a hose showing an enhanced adhesion between a rubber containing an ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer rubber and an organic fiber without damaging rubber properties. SOLUTION: A rubber/cord composite and a hose are obtained by bonding a rubber composition obtained by compounding 1 to 20 pts.wt. of magnesium oxide with 100 pts.wt. of a rubber containing 50 to 100 wt.% of an ethylene- propylene-diene copolymer rubber containing 9 to 13 wt.% of ethylidene- norbornene to an organic fiber.
