The method involves locating data of a database in one cell range (4). Updating parameters are located in several parameter rows belonging to a cell range (8). A set determined from the cells of the range (4) is updated by applying updating functions. Each updating function uses the updating parameters contained in cells of the range (8). The range (8) is placed above the range (4), in a spreadsheet (1).
